Patching and Coating With Epoxy.com Products at and Below the Water Line
Q: I am looking for a material that I can use to patch and coat a concrete seawall. I need to repair areas where the salt damage has eaten away the concrete, and protect the rest of the surfaces. The area I need to do is in the tidal zone. I can clean up the concrete, dry it up (if I need to) and apply the a material during low tide, but the product will need to be either very fast setting or be able to cure under water when
the tide comes in. What do you recommend?
Norm Lambert: First you will want to do good surface prepartion – www.epoxy.com/surfaceprep.aspx. Then you will want to use Epoxy.com Product #2707 Splash Zone Coating and Underwater Paste is a moisture-insensitive, two-component, 100% solids epoxy-resin system.
